Plumeodo Butter Dish, Mexico

This authentic Mexican pottery is crafted and hand-painted by artisans using traditional pottery techniques. Each piece is highly textured and unique -- gorgeous, yet very functional.

• Material: ceramic with lead-free paint

  • Dish: approx. 7" L x 5 cm W x 1" H / 18 cm L x 12.5 cm W x 2.5 cm H
  • Cover: approx. 6" x 3.25" W x 2" H (2.5" including knob) / 15 cm L x 8.5" W x  5 cm H (6.5 cm including knob)
  • Because each one is made by hand, an entire stick of butter may not fit. 
• Use and care: microwave and dishwasher safe.
• Any minor variances in the design simply attest to the handcrafted nature and individuality of these pieces. Please allow for slight colour and design variations.

This dish is handmade by Encantada Pottery, a small family-owned ceramic workshop in the state of Guanajuato. Women artisans hand-painting unfired ceramics while men work the kilns, as they have since the late 70’s. Each piece has personality from the dots and swirls to the hand-painted logo on the bottom.
